Ipek Slept Here is a series of photos of needleworks I did during the last two years of my art studies. I used to study in Zürich, but after a year, because of the unaffordable rental prices, I had to move back to Basel. To reflect on this unwanted commuter life, wherever I spent the night, I tagged the pillowcase with my name. As my private sphere ceased to exist and my accommodation became a public matter, I reflected in an ironic way and sewed a variation of a traditional street tag: Ipek Slept Here.
